PRAYER
Prayer as the Real Work
Prayer is not a warm-up act before the real work begins. It is the real work -- the place where the church acknowledges that without God, all our activity is noise, and with Him, even the smallest gathering carries significance beyond what we can see.
Prayer as the Life of the Church
At Renfrew Baptist, prayer is woven into the rhythm of our life together. Each Sunday morning we pray as a congregation, bringing our praise, our needs, and the needs of the world before the One who governs all things. Every Tuesday evening we gather over Zoom -- a simple, unhurried time to seek God together across distance. And on the first and third Sunday evenings of each month, from 7 to 9 pm, we meet at the church building for an extended time of prayer: giving thanks, interceding for one another, lifting up our missionaries, carrying the burdens of the church, and praying for our nation and the nations beyond.
Prayer as Dependence & Hope
We pray because we believe God hears. We pray because the world is too large and our wisdom too small to navigate it on our own. We pray because the Scriptures command it, the saints have always done it, and Jesus himself made it the pattern of his own life.
You are welcome to join us. Bring your questions, your burdens, and your faith, however small.
