MEN
Life Together Around the Table
The men of Renfrew Baptist gather once a month on a Saturday morning for something simple and substantial: a shared meal, time in the Word, honest conversation, and prayer. Over plates of bacon and eggs and cups of strong coffee, we begin by listening -- one man sharing his story of God’s work in his life. These testimonies remind us that following Christ is not abstract, but lived out in real struggles, real growth, and real faith.
Men Formed by the Word
We open the Scriptures together for a brief, focused exhortation, not as a formality, but as the voice of God addressing us as men -- calling us to faithfulness, integrity, and courage. From there, we speak openly with one another: sharpening, encouraging, and when needed, admonishing. As it is written, “iron sharpens iron,” and we take that seriously.
Growing Toward Maturity in Christ
We also pray -- bearing one another’s burdens before the Lord, asking for strength to lead well, to love well, and to endure.
The aim is not performance, but formation. Not isolation, but brotherhood. We want to become men who are steady in faith, grounded in truth, and growing into maturity in Christ -- together.
All men are welcome, even younger men. Come hungry -- for food, for fellowship, and for the Word of God.
