EQUIPPING
Equipping the Saints for the Work of Ministry
The ministry of the church does not belong to a professional class of clergy. It belongs to the whole body. Pastors and teachers exist not to do the work of ministry on behalf of the congregation, but to equip every member to do it — to know the Word, to love one another well, to speak truth, to pray with authority, and to bear one another's burdens in a way that reflects the life of Christ.
We gather every Thursday evening for teaching and equipping — an unhurried time outside of Sunday worship to go deeper into Scripture, grow in practical ministry skills, and strengthen the bonds that hold the body together. Beyond Thursdays, equipping also happens through various other occasions throughout the year: workshops, seminars, retreats, and informal gatherings oriented around the same goal. The aim in all of it is not information alone, but formation: believers who are increasingly able to minister to one another, disciple their families, and contribute to the growth of the whole church into the fullness of Christ.
If Sunday is the feast, these are the training grounds.
All are welcome. Whether you are new to the faith or have walked with Christ for decades, there is always more to learn and more of Christ to be formed in us.
